let’s make some herbal theraflu tea

I’ve been trying on more natural remedies lately. Let’s try one for cold symptoms.

*citrus leaves and peels: rich in vitamin c and flavonoids, are anti-inflammatory, have potential antioxidant effects, strengthen the immune system
*echinacea: fights viral and bacterial infections, has anti-inflammatory properties, improves immunity, relieves pain
*red raspberry leaf: treats fevers, colds and flu, reduces runny nose symptoms
*goldenrod: helps break up mucus, helps the body sweat during fevers, anti-inflammatory, is rich in flavanoids
*rosehips: reduce chances and severity of colds, are anti-inflammatory, relieves pain
*ginger: helps reduce congestion, eases sore throats
*mint: opens nasal passages, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiviral, soothes sore throats, contains vitamin c
*elderberries: antioxidant, antiviral, rich in vitamin c, shorten cold and flu symptoms, boosts immune system
*lemongrass: contains vitamin c, fights infections, strengthens and boosts immune system, relieves pain, manages runny noses, helps the body sweat during fevers

I have amassed a small collection of books, as part of my healing journey, on self-love, the thing that I find extremely difficult to do at times. I thought you might enjoy these as well.

trying to be more intentional and more holistic with what I consume, so I'm starting with my garden.

here are a few items I've made (and remade plenty) lately
*protein granola - I eat this nearly everyday with yogurt or as a snack
*marigold -infused oil - I use the leftover flower heads from the bouquets I pick for myself
*hot sauce - I've got tons of peppers and tons of vinegar
*refrigerator - I use the peppers too. I literally can't stop making and eating these
*strawberry probiotic soda - I used my ginger bug. I'm not much of a soda drinker, but I can't wait to try this!
